Okay, I’m just gonna say it: this is my favorite book in the series. Penn and Addy? Ugh. PERFECTION. I didn’t realize how much I needed their story until it wrecked me in the best possible way. This one delivers on everything—sweet, funny, low-angst, but also packed with quiet, powerful moments that sneak up and break you. Sam’s “three diamonds” line?? I was a goner. Penn is the ultimate reformed playboy. He’s all in for Addy from the second their Bahamas one-night spark reignites back home. Addy is strong, independent, and such a perfect balance to his soft, protective energy. The marriage of convenience setup had me grinning and kicking my feet. There’s just something about forced proximity when the guy’s already half in love and trying so hard not to let it show. Add in Penn’s relationship with Sam (and Winnie, oh my heart) and the found family chaos of this friend group, and this book became a warm hug I never wanted to end. The spice? On point. It’s not over the top, but when it hits, it HITS. And knowing Penn’s playboy days are over because all he wants is Addy? I’m feral.
